Blue Pumpkin postcard 4"x6" 2010

One of my quilt guilds has started a Postcard Club.  I am having so much fun that I can't resist making multiples.  I know people love receiving them in the mail, but sometimes they're hard to part with.
Will a photo do?

Reserved for Tony Graffiti 40" x 40" 2010

This quilt contains my photos of graffiti in Europe, and my hand-painted, monoprinted, and flour resist painted fabrics.  The title is from a specific piece of graffiti I saw in Birmingham, England.  With simple construction, I wanted to capture the scattered complexity of  graffiti art we glimpse as we speed by.

Jacey in the Merry Month of May 23" x 32" 2010

A guild challenge was to create an asymmetrical composition that illustrates the term merry.  To create the silhouette, I used a photo of my 8 year old niece Jacey happily performing a cartwheel.
She's backed by a fabric I hand painted, and I'm pleased to say that I won the Best Use of Term award.
