Night Flight 18.5" x 19" 2012

A title for this little piece found me at last.  I made it in response to a challenge to create a composition with thirteen half square triangles.  I used a Ricky Tims piecing technique to make dimensional flying geese, and I like the interplay of the warm triangles on the gradated gray grid.  I hope it likes its title.

  1. Names are not my thing. I didn't get to see who made what quilt so I'm glad you posted this.

You were my half-square triangle competition!

    1. You do just fine, Barb. And a little bird told me that your husband comes up with some good names as well ;-).

Sarah, this piece is lovely. Reminds me of glowing Egyptian pyramids at sunset.

  3. Maybe a name that has something to do with burning embers, or coal?
