Runner and Bowl

Recently a friend invited me to try out the new Mini Quick Curve Ruler, and this table runner is my version of the basic pattern.  Here's what I like about the ruler: accuracy and interesting shapes.  Here's what I didn't like: it's very difficult to get a quarter inch seam allowance on the outer edge of the shapes.  My friend had the same problem, so for once it's not me being precision-challenged.

It's a happy accident that the bowl goes nicely atop the runner.  All the clothesline bowls I made as gifts were well received, and I'm pretty sure I'm not done with exploring them.

  1. Your quilts are fabulous. I love the colors and the patterns. I used to live in Cayucos but didn't start art quilting until after I left and moved to Indiana. I visit CA often and hope to see some of your quilts in person next time I visit the central coast if you are ever showing them publicly.
