The World is a Rose. 12"x12"

"The world is a rose.  Smell it and pass it to your friends."  Persian proverb
The annual SAQA Benefit Auction deadline snuck up on me this year.  I have donated for more years than I can remember, so when they gently reminded me the due date was fast approaching I dug deep.
Literally.

This little quilt was begun years ago but only recently finished.  I photographed a rose, printed it on fabric, and machine quilted all over it.  What took so long was the hand beading on the petals, which you can't see too well in the detail shot.  Because I don't see that well anymore either, it's my beading swan song.

Here's my latest Tad Dah! moment.  My piece "I Pledge"(see previous post on 4/22) made the cut for the Threads of Resistance traveling exhibit.  I'm extremely honored that I get to hang out with some big talent.  To say nothing of the passionate and timely messages illustrated therein.

Night Lights. 19" x 21"

Just playing around with leftover bits that like each other.  I love improv.
